LANCASHIRE BUILDING SCHOOLS FOR THE FUTURE

Building Schools for the Future (BSF) is the largest single schools capital investment programme for over 50 years. The aim is to rebuild or renew every one of England’s 3,500 state secondary schools during the 15-year lifetime of the £45 -£60 billion programme.

LINCOLNSHIRE SCHOOLS

Lincolnshire County Council awarded this PFI project to FocusEducation (Lincolnshire) Ltd, a consortium comprising Bovis Lend Lease and Halifax Bank of Scotland (HBoS) in September 2001.

NEWCASTLE SCHOOLS

In 1999 Newcastle City Council (NCC) decided to develop an education scheme using the Private Finance Initiative route, as a means to improve school accommodation. Following the identification of the schools in greatest need of investment, an outline business case was submitted to and approved by the Government.

LILIAN BAYLIS TECHNOLOGY SCHOOL, LAMBETH

The new Lilian Baylis Technology School opened its doors to 600 students from the London Borough of Lambeth in January 2005.

THE NATIONAL MARITIME COLLEGE OF IRELAND, CORK

The National Maritime College (NMC) in Ringaskiddy, County Cork is a national and international centre of excellence for the education and training in merchant marine and naval service studies for 750 Irish and overseas students.
