Bovis Lend Lease Tops Construction 100 List
The tenth annual HIA-AI Group-Reed Construction Data Construction 100 report was released in October and lists the top 100 construction companies by contracts won in the commercial, industrial, community, civil, residential and mining sectors.
Moving up from fourth place in the list last year, Bovis Lend Lease won contracts spread across all areas of non-residential construction in 2007/08, with the exception of the mining sector.
“We are delighted to have come out on top of the list this year. It proves that Bovis Lend Lease is remaining competitive and continuing to offer our clients excellent value,” said Bovis Lend Lease Australia CEO Tony Costantino.
“It also shows the benefit of our strategy of diversification into new sectors including healthcare and other government markets. This strategy positions us well to manage the more challenging current economic climate.”
Major contracts won by Bovis Lend Lease in 2007/08 include the A$296 million Liverpool Hospital redevelopment in Sydney, the A$470 million contract for the redevelopment of Top Ryde City shopping centre in north west Sydney and the project management, design and construction of the A$1 billion new Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, the largest hospital development in Australia, as part of the Children’s Health Partnership consortium.media
